How can the results of a European project continue to create value beyond its formal activities and deliverables? IDEALIST partner APPAU (Association of “Industrial Automation Enterprises of Ukraine”) offers a concrete example from Ukraine, where project tools and methodologies are being adapted to strengthen the local Industry 5.0 ecosystem.
In a recent article, APPAU explains how several IDEALIST approaches are being transferred into practices and services tailored to the needs of Ukrainian companies and innovation actors. This includes strategic foresight, Hack&Match and business/use-case development, all aimed at supporting resilience, digital transformation and stronger ecosystem collaboration. Adapting IDEALIST tools to the Ukrainian context
Strategic foresight is being used to help companies better anticipate disruptions and future challenges, while the Hack&Match methodology is being adapted to connect industrial needs with technological solutions and potential partners. The development of business and use cases also helps make advanced technologies more tangible for companies and supports the identification of practical transformation opportunities.
This approach reflects one of IDEALIST’s core ambitions: not only to develop tools and methodologies, but also to strengthen the capacity of clusters and industrial ecosystems to continue using and adapting them beyond the project lifetime. The project explicitly aims to support the uptake of foresight practices, advanced technologies and new collaboration opportunities among SMEs.
