On 16 December 2025, IDEALIST partner APPAU – Association of Industrial Automation Enterprises of Ukraine organised a replication of the IDEALIST Hack&Match approach in Kyiv, bringing the project’s collaborative innovation methodology to the Ukrainian industrial ecosystem.
IDEALIST Hack&Match events are designed to connect companies facing concrete industrial challenges with technology experts, startups, researchers and solution providers. Through this matchmaking approach, participants work together to identify and co-develop innovative, green and efficient solutions tailored to real business needs.
By replicating the format locally, APPAU helped extend the impact of IDEALIST beyond the project’s core activities, creating new opportunities for knowledge exchange, technology uptake and collaboration between companies and innovation providers.
The initiative showed how the IDEALIST methodology can be transferred to different industrial communities and used to stimulate practical cooperation around technological challenges.
From matchmaking to real solutions: Hack&Match is about connecting the right challenge with the right expertise — and turning that connection into innovation.
