After the Clusters Meet Regions event in Ajdovščina, Slovenia, the IDEALIST communication team continued its European outreach in Regensburg, Germany, where Chiara Callegari and Riccardo Zanelli from COMET – Cluster Metalmeccanica Friuli Venezia Giulia joined the Clusters Meet Regions & ECCP Matchmaking event on 26–27 November 2025.

Organised by the European Cluster Collaboration Platform (ECCP) on behalf of the European Commission, together with the City of Regensburg, the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy and Bayern Innovativ, the event gathered more than 200 participants from 18 countries and focused on cross-innovation and collaboration between clusters, companies, researchers and policymakers.

Regensburg offered a particularly relevant setting for IDEALIST thanks to its strong industrial ecosystem in automotive, mobility and logistics, alongside enabling technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, sensor technologies and GreenTech. These areas closely connect with IDEALIST’s work on advanced technology uptake and industrial resilience.

During the matchmaking sessions, the COMET team exchanged views with clusters and technology stakeholders, explored potential collaborations and presented the opportunities that IDEALIST offers to SMEs, with particular attention to new technologies and solutions that can strengthen competitiveness and resilience.

The event also offered a great opportunity to meet again with our fellow IDEALIST partner Chemie-Cluster Bayern (CCB), reinforcing collaboration within the consortium while opening new connections beyond it.

A special thanks to the TechBase Regensburg team for involving us and giving IDEALIST the opportunity to engage with such a dynamic European innovation community.

From Slovenia to Bavaria, IDEALIST keeps building bridges between clusters, technologies and SMEs across Europe.
