IDEALIST partner COMET – Cluster Metalmeccanica Friuli Venezia Giulia took part in the Manufacturing Partnership Days held in Brussels from 20 to 22 October 2025, organised by EFFRA and dedicated to the European manufacturing research and innovation community.

The event brought together industry representatives, researchers, policymakers and other key stakeholders to exchange ideas, present project achievements and discuss the future priorities of European manufacturing.

For COMET, the event was an important opportunity to engage directly with companies and stakeholders on a key question for European SMEs: how can manufacturers better anticipate and respond to unexpected disruptions?

This is precisely the challenge at the heart of IDEALIST. Funded under the Horizon Europe topic HORIZON-CL4-2023-RESILIENCE-01-42, the project supports SMEs in identifying critical supply-chain dependencies, anticipating change through Strategic Foresight and accelerating the uptake of advanced technologies to strengthen resilience and competitiveness.

During the event, COMET had the opportunity to discuss these challenges with the manufacturing community and present the tools, activities and support opportunities that IDEALIST is making available to SMEs, while exploring new connections and potential collaborations.

Because resilience is not only about reacting to disruption…. it is about being ready before it happens.
