On 12–13 June 2025, the third IDEALIST Learning Expedition will take place in Silesia, one of Poland’s most dynamic industrial regions. The two-day programme will bring together SME representatives, clusters, and innovation actors to explore trends and technologies shaping the future of European industry.

Exploring key transitions in industry
The Learning Expedition will focus on three main themes:
- Industry Futures: a foresight session based on Horizon Scanning results related to aerospace, energy-intensive industries, and mobility
- Digital Technologies: a panel discussion on how SMEs can adopt effective digital strategies
- Drones: an open conversation on real versus perceived impact of UAV technologies in industrial ecosystems
Participants will also take part in pitching and networking sessions, offering a space to share projects, discuss collaboration opportunities, and strengthen interregional connections.
Learning through direct experience
On the second day, participants will visit selected industrial sites in the region:
- WB Group – Flytronic, a leader in drone systems and applied technologies
- Łukasiewicz – Upper Silesian Institute of Technology, one of Poland’s largest R&D centres
- Urządzenia i Konstrukcje S.A., a leading company in the design and production of industrial equipment and structures
These visits will offer a concrete perspective on how industrial innovation is applied in practice.
