A Learning Expedition (LEX) is a regional workshop that brings together SMEs, clusters, researchers, and local stakeholders to exchange knowledge, explore emerging trends, and co-design innovative solutions. Within IDEALIST, LEXes are tailored to specific industrial ecosystems and aim to strengthen the resilience and innovation capacity of local value chains through strategic foresight and collaboration.

The first two LEX initiatives have successfully connected local SMEs with industry leaders, resulting in enhanced technological adoption and improved supply chain strategies.

In Saragoza took place the first one, the LEX hosted 7 tech-savvy SMEs across Europe, engaging stakeholders from the Mobility and Automotive industrial ecosystem. The discussions revolved around resilience, decarbonization pathways, and the role of regional innovation in navigating industrial transitions.

The second LEX was in Toscana and gathered 32 participants, including SMEs, researchers, and regional innovation actors from the Mobility and Automotive ecosystem. The event focused on sustainability, digitalization, and future supply chain strategies, encouraging cross-sector dialogue and strategic foresight.

These LEX events are at the heart of IDEALIST’s mission to empower local ecosystems through collaborative foresight and innovation-driven action.
