On 31 January 2025, IDEALIST held an Expert-to-Expert webinar focused on carbon-neutral and circular manufacturing, with 37 participants joining the online session.
The webinar addressed industrial approaches and technologies supporting more circular and resource-efficient manufacturing, with relevance for the three industrial ecosystems covered by IDEALIST: Energy-Intensive Industries, Aerospace & Defence, and Mobility, Transport & Automotive.
Circularity and carbon neutrality in manufacturing
The session focused on solutions aimed at supporting the transition towards more sustainable production models.
The programme brought together expertise in areas including life-cycle assessment, circular manufacturing and industrial technology solutions, providing different perspectives on how companies can reduce environmental impact and improve the use of resources.
The planned speaker line-up included Steffen Kiemel from Fraunhofer, alongside representatives from ChainTraced, ADAXIS and STILFOLD.
Connecting sustainability with industrial innovation
The webinar provided a setting for exchange on practical approaches to sustainability in manufacturing and on technologies that can support the green transition of European industry.
The session formed part of IDEALIST’s Expert-to-Expert webinar series, designed to facilitate peer-to-peer knowledge exchange around technologies and manufacturing processes relevant to SMEs.
