On 28 January 2025, IDEALIST held an Expert-to-Expert webinar dedicated to Additive Manufacturing, bringing together 37 participants to explore the potential of this technology for advanced industrial production.
The session focused on practical perspectives, applications and challenges linked to additive manufacturing, a technology with relevance across different manufacturing sectors and industrial ecosystems.
Exploring industrial applications of additive manufacturing
The webinar was designed around expert contributions covering the use of additive manufacturing in different industrial contexts.
The agenda brought together expertise from advanced mechatronics, additive manufacturing technologies and composite materials, creating a cross-sector perspective on how these solutions can be applied in industrial production.
Among the experts included in the programme were representatives from the University of Udine, Mach3d, ERPRO GROUP and COGIT COMPOSITES.
From technology to practical exchange
The webinar also created a space for discussion around the opportunities and challenges associated with additive manufacturing, including its industrial use cases and potential contribution to more flexible manufacturing processes.
The session contributed to IDEALIST’s Expert-to-Expert webinar series, which promotes knowledge exchange on advanced technologies relevant to SMEs and European manufacturing ecosystems.
