IDEALIST gained international visibility at the European Manufacturing Conference 2024, held in Brussels on 24–25 September and co-organised by IDEALIST partner EIT Manufacturing, together with EFFRA and ManuFuture.
The two-day conference brought together over 420 manufacturing professionals from across Europe, including representatives from industry, public institutions, startups and scaleups, universities, research and technology organisations and the wider innovation ecosystem.
Against this highly relevant backdrop, IDEALIST was visible throughout the entire event through dedicated digital screens presenting the project’s key information, objectives and activities. The installation offered participants an immediate introduction to the project and helped raise awareness of its ambition to strengthen the resilience and adaptability of European manufacturing SMEs.
The conference provided a particularly fitting environment for promoting IDEALIST. Discussions addressed some of the most pressing issues shaping the future of European manufacturing, from geopolitical change and net-zero transformation to innovative technologies, cross-border cooperation and the need for companies to better anticipate future trends and disruptions.
These challenges are also at the core of IDEALIST. Through its activities, the project aims to help SMEs anticipate change, identify emerging risks and opportunities, accelerate the uptake of advanced technologies and strengthen their resilience within increasingly complex value chains.
By showcasing IDEALIST to hundreds of manufacturing stakeholders from across Europe, the European Manufacturing Conference represented an important opportunity to expand the project’s visibility beyond its immediate network and reach companies, innovation actors and organisations that can benefit from – and contribute to – the IDEALIST journey.
Two days, more than 420 manufacturing professionals and one clear message: helping European SMEs become better prepared for the industrial challenges of tomorrow. More details: https://european-manufacturing-conference-2024.b2match.io/
